Intruder Alert!

Alright, it has been over a year now. Someone has to talk about it. I guess I'm that someone. Last February the Ashtons added a bird to the family. Yes, you heard me. A bird! This wasn't just some canary, it was an Indian Ring Necked Parakeet. The silly bird is picking up a lot of words and whistles. He says "hello" and "peek-a-boo", and the peoples think its the cutest thing. But would you believe he can now "Meow" like me?! Yep. I don't like to brag, but I have a very distinctive meow, and he has it down pat. I can't hardly walk in the room without him "mrreowing" at me. The peoples say I should take it as a compliment, but that is kinda hard when he tells on me all the time. He says things like "Mrreooow. Oh no! Squawk Squawk!" What's a cat to do? Well, at least he drops bird food on the floor for me sometimes. It's not as good as cat food, but it is kinda tasty.

Oh, and last Christmas! Would you believe they brought home a second bird? This one was a Sun Conure. I don't think she is going to be much of a problem though. Soleil doesn't talk much, and she is even messier than Charlie is, so I find lots of treats on the floor under her cage.

There it is out in the open. The cats have finally spoken. Well, I have finally spoken. Or, well, mreowed. I have finally mreowed! Yes, that's it! And no, that wasn't Charlie mreowing that I had mreowed, it was really me, um mreowing, that I, um, mreowed. Maybe I should leave the mreowing/talking/squawking to Charile. It sure gets complicated!

Yes, and Grace is even more annoyed now. One day a freind of ours brought over her Afican Gray, and at first he drove the cats mad!
