Pass the Ear Plugs Please

I now pronounce our peoples officially crazy! They have the "1812 Overture", and something called "Stars and Stripes Forever" blaring on the stereo. But, the worst bit are these LOUD banging noises and flashing lights all over the TV screen! They are calling them fireworks, and everyone seems quite happy about the fact that they are happening. Everyone but us of course. All well, they are giving us skritches and promising kitty treats, so maybe it won't be so bad. . .
